The comedy is clean and without any double meaning dialogues unlike some of the 80s and 90s comedies. Perhaps the only song i know picturized in pyjamas! Imagine an entire romantic song Ye raat aur ye doori– with two heroes and two heroines, all in their night pjyamas and cute night clothes. Though it is a modern film, yet there’s a very 60s kind of feel to it including the songs. Or when Salman Khan asks Raveena why Amar ( Aamir ) is being called Teelu, she says, “Wo humain teele pe mila tha na, isliye humne teelu naam rakh diya.” On paper, this would seem like some jumbled up words written together. Teja (Paresh Rawal in a double role) who's sole ambition in life has been to grab his twin brother Ram Gopal Bajaj's millions. Amar and Prem try their chances and woo Raveena, each trying to outdo the other.
The lucky man to wed Raveena will inherit her father Ram Gopal Bajaj's (Paresh Rawal) entire wealth. They meet a beautiful wealthy heiress Raveena (Raveena Tandon) who has come from London accompanied by her friend cum secretary Karishma (Karishma Kapoor) with the intention of getting married to a virtuous Indian. Both Amar and Prem are two conmen with no money, few prospects and big dreams. Amar is the son of an honest barber Murli Manohar (Deven Verma) in Mumbai, while Prem is the son of Bankeylal Bhopali (Jagdeep), a hardworking tailor in Bhopal. Andaz Apna Apna is a story of two boys Amar (Aamir Khan) and Prem (Salman Khan) who want to get rich quickly by taking all the short-cuts in the book.
